Patient Updates
After visiting his doctor on suspicion of having pneumonia in January 2003 Christopher Seehase was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma Type B.  Chest x-rays had revealed a large tumor near his heart.  He had to leave his job and New York City apartment to afford treatment.  With insurance and help from family he had little need of monetary assistance.  But it is often the things we don't realize we need that come matter most.

You can write Chris letters of encouragement, well wishes, and support to The Rod Sheer Cancer Foundation c/o Berenfeld, Spritzer, Schecter, & Sheer 9655 South Dixie Highway 3rd Floor, Miami, FL 33156.

A Message From Chris (11/19/2003):

Well, now I'm slated to receive regular PET scans (designed to monitor treatment success) for a period of at least two years.

In some extremely good news, my latest PET scan showed excellent results.  However, my next scan will reveal whether or not I'll proceed to an additional phase of treatment known as bone marrow transplant therapy.  In either case, I will be sure to keep you posted through future patient updates.

Looking back over the past year, cancer treatment proved difficult, but by no means impossible.  Notably, I'm grateful to the members of the Rod Sheer Cancer Foundation.  They have stood by me throughout the entire treatment process and beyond.

Thank you RSCF :-)

Previous Messages From Chris:

Hello,

In January 2003, my doctor instructed me to shave my head due to chemo therapy.  This was new experience for me.  However, the Rod Sheer Cancer Foundation was kind enough to send me free head wraps.  Little did I know just how much I would use them.  Minus a head of hair, my scalp was colder than usual in moderate weather (you'd be surprised).  Likewise, when the sun came out, I had to make sure not to burn.  The head wrap was perfect for this. It can be carried anywhere and it slips on easily.  Not to mention...chicks dig it. I offer my thanks and gratitude to the Rod Sheer Cancer Foundation.

Sincerely,
Chris Seehase
